Robotic Arm

Identify the Problem

What will the robot be?

The robot will be a robotic arm that can make exact movements to transport objects.  The robot must be strong and secured to the ground to safely move objects quickly and easily.  The robot must be simple to be inexpensive.

Developing Three Solutions to the Problem

Solution 1

This is the first design I made for the robotic arm.  This design has a roboting base able to swivel the arm 360 degrees.  The arm has two joints allowing the arms to bend.  The claw can bend up and down, can rotate vertically.  The claw also can open.  These features allow for the robot to have lots of flexibility.

Solution 2

This is the second design I made for the robotic arm.  This design has all the flexibility of the first one but has a differently styled claw.  This claw has four arms in it instead of the previous two.  Each individual arm can more up and down or left and right, depending on where it is located.  All of the arms can rotate a full 360 degrees.

Solution 3

My third design to the robotic arm is similar to the second one.  This design also has the four-armed claw.  This difference is that this time, the arms have grips on the ends of them to allow for a tighter grip.  The claw also has a light in the center of it that will shine in the direction that the claw is facing.  I decided to choose this design for my robotic arm.
